To perform and analyze the load frequency control in both single-area and two-area systems.

Procedure for Load Frequency Control Study:

STEP 1: Load Frequency Control is displayed with two button "Single Area Load Frequency Control" and "Two Area Load Frequency Control". Click on "Single Area Load Frequency Control" button to study single area load frequency control.

STEP 2: After Click on “Single Area Load Frequency Control” button. In the right half screen, Single Area Load Frequency Control block diagram is displayed and in the left half screen various parameters are given such as: Governor Time Constant (Tg), Turbine Time Constant (TT), Droop Value (R), Damping Constant (D), Rotational Inertia (M), Change in Mechanical Power (ΔPc), Change in Load Power (ΔPL), Total Simulation Time, Change of Power at Time, Time Step.

STEP 3: Click on "Plot" button. Below the Single Area Load Frequency Control block diagram the plots will be generated with the default parameter values.

STEP 4: Modify the parameters values (including inputs) and Click on "Plot" button again. Observe the differences in the resulting plots to see the effects of changes in parameter values.

Note: The above procedure is explained for "Single Area Load Frequency Control". A similar procedure is followed for studying, the "Two Area Load Frequency Control".
